Life Spans

Having just lost my cat at 19 years, I got curious about the life spans of cat and dog breeds.

It must be noted, that the cat life span information indicated below are averages. Many factors ultimately determine the life expectancy of your cat. Some cat breeds do suffer from hereditary or genetic conditions which may reduce the cats life span.

Yorkshire terrier -- 12 to 15 years
German Shepherd dog -- 10 to 14 years
